New board member grateful to supporters

I am writing to sincerely thank all the residents of South River who supported my candidacy for the Board of Education. You helped to bring a fresh perspective to the board and have diversified the issues that the board will speak about for years to come.

Any resident with a concern for the welfare of our school system can find comfort in knowing that if you come to me with a problem, I will do everything in my power to solve it. I can’t wait to bring progressive changes to our wonderful schools.

During my three-year term, I look forward to advancing our schools’ technology, enhancing our curriculum to challenge students and better prepare them for college, and employing fiscal responsibility. I also look forward to working with the residents of South River and making South River’s schools better than ever.

I am also very pleased that you returned Cindy Urbanik to her post on the board. She has done wonders as the chairwoman of buildings and grounds and also during her entire 11-year career on the board. Thanks to you, she will continue to do what is best for our borough’s children.

We have a great team on the Board of Education, and I look forward to learning from its members and making decisions that will make South River’s future even brighter.
