slates June 13 meeting

The Suburban Artist Guild (SAG) will hold its regular monthly meeting at 2 p.m. on June 13 at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center.

Artist Ray Skibinski will offer a drawing demonstration and lesson. Skibinski graduated from Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Arts, both New York City. He was associate art director for Seventeen magazine and also worked as a commercial illustrator. All members are invited to attend the demonstration and are asked to bring a sketchbook and pencil or charcoal pencil for drawing.

Many SAG artists will participate in Visual Arts Celebration 2003, a juried outdoor fine art and crafts show and sale, set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 14 at the East Brunswick municipal complex, Jean Walling Civic Center. The event is sponsored by the Township of East Brunswick Division of Recreation and Community Services, the East Brunswick Arts Commission and the Visual Arts Celebration Committee.

The SAG annual picnic will be hosted by Ed and Emilia Misiura at 12:30 p.m. on June 21 at their home, 44 Farms Road, East Brunswick.
