ADAM BUCZEK, 74, of Oak Ridge, formerly of South River, died May 3 in Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains. Surviving are three sisters, Jane Geresy of South River, Ceil Weis of Edison and Rose Stofko of Milltown; a brother, Tony Buczek of Edison; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A service was held at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

JULIA KELEMEN HANSEN, 83, of East Brunswick died May 2 in Virtua Hospital, Berlin. A son, Derry, died in 2000. Surviving are her husband, Oscar Hansen; a son, Gregory Hansen of Williamsburg, Va.; a daughter, Deborah Hansen of the Sicklerville section of Winslow; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

VALERIA ZAHORSKY HARTMAN, 84, of South River died May 4 in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. Surviving are her husband, William Hartman; a daughter, Laverne Smith of South River; three brothers, Frank Zahorsky of Enfield, Conn., Edward Zahorsky of South River and John Zahorsky of Mercerville; a sister, Stacia Kolacki of Toledo, Ohio; and a grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, South River.

MURIEL DiGIOVANNI, 64, of Jamesburg died May 5 at home. Her husband, John DiGiovanni, died in 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Rose Marie Abbott of Jamesburg; a sister, Margaret Cruz of Aberdeen; and a grandson. Cremation was private. EDNA M. JORDAN, 72, of Ocean Township, formerly of East Brunswick, died April 30 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Robert W. Jordan, died in 1988. Surviving are three daughters, Leslie Dziedziak of East Brunswick, Elizabeth Jordan of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Barbara Jordan of Sherwood Hills, Ore.; a son, Robert W. Jordan of Oak Harbor, Wash.; and six grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on May 18 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, East Brunswick.

DANIEL LOPEZ KANE, 23, of Jamesburg died April 12 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Virginia Beach, Va. A member of the U.S. Navy, he was stationed aboard the USS Kearsarge, homeported in Norfolk, Va. He was a 1998 graduate of Monroe Township High School. Surviving are his parents; his grandparents; a brother and sister, Alexander and Gina Anania of Jamesburg; and many cousins, uncles and aunts. A memorial service was held at Lester Memorial Home, Jamesburg.

FEROL WHITE OERTEL, 85, of Monroe, formerly of East Brunswick, died May 4 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Ralph W. Oertel; three brothers, Howard of West Virginia, Norman of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Dale of Live Oak, Fla.; and two sisters, Marie Flanagan of East Brunswick and Emma Himey of Monroe. Services were held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. DANIEL ANDREW STRALLOW, 45, of Monroe died May 3 in Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City. He was a self-employed farmer in Monroe for the past two years. Surviving are his wife, Betty L. Hammond Strallow; a son, Brendan James Strallow of Monroe; a stepson, Mycroft Douglas Sachere of Monroe; a daughter, Alexandra Louise Strallow of Monroe; a brother, William Strallow Jr. of Oakland; two sisters, Carolyn Lands of Frenchtown and Anne Marie "Nancy" Dargis of Plainfield; two nieces; and three nephews. Cremation was private. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Unitarian Society of New Brunswick, East Brunswick. EDWARD J. SUCHANIA, 82, of South River died May 3 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. PORFIRI TROICKI, 75, of South River died April 30 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Kataryna Prydybajlo Troicki; a daughter, Irene McDonnell of the Basking Ridge section of Bernards; a son, Michael Troicki of South River; a sister, Nadia Rinnyk of Milltown; a brother, Michael Troicki of East Brunswick; and four grandchildren. A service was held at St. Euphrosynia Belarus Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.

GENEVIEVE WOJCIK VanWAGNER, 77, of East Brunswick died May 2 in Jersey Shore Rehabilitation Center, Eatontown. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cafeteria supervisor for the East Brunswick Board of Education. Her husband, Robert E. VanWagner, died in 2001, and a daughter, Pamela VanWagner, died in 1980. Surviving are two sons, Robert VanWagner of Georgia and Mark VanWagner of Eatontown; a brother, Sonny Wojcik of Somerville; two sisters, Joan Catone of Jersey City and Helen Dombrowski of Scotch Plains; and six grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

CANTOR JAY WILLIAM CORN, 60, of Las Vegas, formerly of East Brunswick, died May 4 in Mountainview Hospital, Las Vegas. Prior to his retirement, he was the cantor at several synagogues, including Temple B’nai Shalom, East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Natalie Rosenthal Corn; two daughters, Danielle Corn-Dreitzer of Las Vegas and Heather Corn of Rosedale, N.Y.; a sister, Joyce Ruth Bunkin of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a granddaughter; and five nieces. Services were held at the East Brunswick Jewish Center. Interment was in New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. VINCENT D’AMICO, 80, of East Brunswick died May 1 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Frances Petrovato D’Amico, died in 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Doreen White of Deltona, Fla., and Pat Ferrara of East Brunswick; a stepbrother, Michael Morgantini of Old Bridge; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. ALLEN J. "KELLY" MILLER, 85, of Spotswood died May 5 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Erna L. Heitzmann Miller; two sons, James Kelly Miller of Cary, N.C., and Michael Allen Miller of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, John Miller of Miami; two sisters, Margaret "Dot" Bugliari of Plainfield and Elizabeth Bowman of Bayonet Point, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 10:15 a.m. on May 10 at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. DANIEL CRUMMY, 33, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died May 1 at home. He was employed for the past year as a waiter at Sir John’s Restaurant, North Brunswick. Prior to that, he worked for Mendoker’s Bakery, Monroe. Surviving are his parents, Andrew Eugene and Joan Boutellier Crummy of Parlin; five sisters, Mary Lilley of Brick, Eileen Crummy of Cranford, Joan Wickizer of Valencia, Calif., Patricia McGowan of Clive, Iowa, and Kathleen DeLucia of Sayreville; two brothers, the Rev. Michael Crummy of the Milford section of Evesham; and Thomas Crummy of Orlando, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. GENEVIEVE LASEK KWIECINSKI, 72, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died May 1 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Edward Kwiecinski; a son, Robert of Sayreville; a daughter, Janet Stalowski of South River; two sisters, Sophie Ammerman of Jackson and Emilie Pilecki of South River; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Entombment was in Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Parlin.

KATHERINE MURRAY BALDASARE, 79, of Sayreville, formerly of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died May 2 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are her husband, Frank; three sons, James of Port Monmouth, Frank of Tarrytown, N.Y., and William of Sayreville; a sister, Eileen Haberstroh of Wyoming; and eight grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
