Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. Surviving are her husband, William Hartman; a daughter, Laverne Smith of South River; three brothers, Frank Zahorsky of Enfield, Conn., Edward Zahorsky of South River and John Zahorsky of Mercerville; a sister, Stacia Kolacki of Toledo, Ohio; and a grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, South River. MURIEL DiGIOVANNI, 64, of Jamesburg died May 5 at home. Her husband, John DiGiovanni, died in 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Rose Marie Abbott of Jamesburg; a sister, Margaret Cruz of Aberdeen; and a grandson. Cremation was private. JORDAN, 72, of Ocean Township, formerly of East Brunswick, died April 30 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Robert W. Jordan, died in 1988. Surviving are three daughters, Leslie Dziedziak of East Brunswick, Elizabeth Jordan of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Barbara Jordan of Sherwood Hills, Ore.; a son, Robert W. Jordan of Oak Harbor, Wash.; and six grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on May 18 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, East Brunswick. DANIEL LOPEZ KANE, 23, of Jamesburg died April 12 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Virginia Beach, Va. A member of the U.S. Navy, he was stationed aboard the USS Kearsarge, homeported in Norfolk, Va. He was a 1998 graduate of Monroe Township High School. Surviving are his parents; his grandparents; a brother and sister, Alexander and Gina Anania of Jamesburg; and many cousins, uncles and aunts. A memorial service was held at Lester Memorial Home, Jamesburg. FEROL WHITE OERTEL, 85, of Monroe, formerly of East Brunswick, died May 4 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Ralph W. Oertel; three brothers, Howard of West Virginia, Norman of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Dale of Live Oak, Fla.; and two sisters, Marie Flanagan of East Brunswick and Emma Himey of Monroe. DANIEL ANDREW STRALLOW, 45, of Monroe died May 3 in Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City. He was a self-employed farmer in Monroe for the past two years. Surviving are his wife, Betty L. VanWagner, died in 2001, and a daughter, Pamela VanWagner, died in 1980. Surviving are two sons, Robert VanWagner of Georgia and Mark VanWagner of Eatontown; a brother, Sonny Wojcik of Somerville; two sisters, Joan Catone of Jersey City and Helen Dombrowski of Scotch Plains; and six grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Natalie Rosenthal Corn; two daughters, Danielle Corn-Dreitzer of Las Vegas and Heather Corn of Rosedale, N.Y.; a sister, Joyce Ruth Bunkin of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a granddaughter; and five nieces.
