DOLORES JOHANNA QUOTIDIAN CRAWFORD of East Brunswick died July 1 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are four sons, John of Highland Park, Charles of the Forked River section of Lacey, Jodie of East Brunswick and Jamie of the Toms River section of Dover; two daughters, Joanne Zavecz of East Brunswick and Jacqueline Ciurleo of Millstone Borough; a brother, John Quotidian of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

EVELYN J. MANGELS DYER, 74, of East Brunswick died July 2 at home. She and her late husband, Thomas L. Dyer Sr., were the former owners of East Brunswick Florist, which they opened in 1977 and is now owned by their daughter, Suzanne. Mrs. Dyer’s husband, Thomas Sr., died in 1984, and a son, Thomas L. Dyer Jr., died in 1975. Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Dyer Vogel of East Brunswick; a son, Robert of East Brunswick; two sisters, Ethel Mangels of New York and Ruth Blanco of New Rochelle, N.Y.; her twin brother, Charles Mangels of Pawling, N.Y. and another brother, Bob Mangels of Palm Harbor, Fla., and a grandson. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

JOHN J. GLINSKY, 92, of South River, formerly of East Brunswick, died July 2 at home. His wife, Catherine M. Dusko Glinsky, died in 1990, and a daughter, Margaret Zaczek, died in 1993. Surviving are a son, Stanley, with whom he lived; a daughter, Christine Catanese of Monroe; a brother, Joseph Sharek of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and three sisters, Florence Lehman, Marie Squirlock and Peggy Sutherland, all of Fort Lauderdale; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

ROBERT S. GRAY, 79, of South River died July 6 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Marie Erickson Gray, died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Donna Gray Marino of Durham, Conn.; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Gray Marino of Arlington, Va. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

MART S. KUUSKVERE Ph.D., 63, of East Windsor, formerly of East Brunswick, died July 6 in The Medical Center at Princeton. Surviving are his wife, Maureen R. Keller Kuuskvere, Ed.D.; two sons, Kevin and Steven; a daughter, Linda; a stepdaughter, Diane; a stepson, James; a brother, Jaan Kuuskvere; two sisters, Tina Rebane and Maie Kuuskvere; and six grandchildren. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, North Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

ARTHUR M. MANDEL, 52, of East Brunswick died June 29 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving is his wife, Diane Borman Mandel. Interment was in Cedar Park Cemetery, Emerson. LILY B. RHOME GLOVER, 90, of Old Bridge, formerly of East Brunswick, died June 30 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Lawrence, died in 1945. Surviving are a son, Lawrence Glover of East Brunswick; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Interment was in Mount Prospect Cemetery, Neptune. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Jersey Library for the Blind and Handicapped, P.O. Box 501, Trenton, NJ 08625.

ANGELINE ZITO VITA, 78, of New Brunswick died July 2 in Rose Mountain Care Center, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph Vita, died in 1986. Surviving are a son, Joseph Vita of New Brunswick; and two sisters, Charlotte Koletis of East Brunswick and Carmel Zito of Florida. Interment was private.

STELLA A. RABUSHKA WALDMANN, 87, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of South River, died June 28 at home. Her husband, Emil F. Waldmann, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Frederick Waldmann of Clearwater; a daughter, Doris Rabosky of Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Jean DeVries of Honolulu; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was in Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, South River.

LORETTA GROSS PYTEL, 88, of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died July 8 as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident on Route 527, Manalapan. Her husband, Louis Pytel, also died as a result of the same car accident. Surviving are a sister, Violet Sutton of Sayreville; a brother, Melvin Gross of South River; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for July 12 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

LOUIS PYTEL, 89, of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died July 8 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident on Route 527, Manalapan. His wife, Loretta Gross Pytel, also died as a result of the same car accident. Surviving are a sister, Mary Zawacki of South River, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for July 12 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

HILDA KANZER RIESER, 77, of Houston, formerly of Old Bridge, died June 27 in Memorial Northwest Hospital, Houston. Her husband, Theodore Rieser, died in 1988. Surviving are two sons, Harry Rieser of Spotswood and William Rieser of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Shelley Robba of North Carolina; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

ARNOLD I. SALTZMAN, 64, of Sayreville died July 7 in Cranbury Center, Monroe. He was a sales engineer for Arnold Saltzman and Co., Sayreville, which he owned and operated for 10 years before retiring in 1996. Surviving are his wife, Martha M. Mays Saltzman; two sons, Ira S. of Livingston and Steven L. of Little Neck, N.Y.; a daughter, Tammy Dorfman of Boca Raton, Fla.; his mother, Emma S. Stieglitz Saltzman of Los Angeles; two brothers, Eugene and Carl A., both of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.

JOHN L. SULLIVAN, 59, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died July 7 in St. Claire’s Hospital, Pittsburgh. Surviving are his wife, Marian Marsh Sullivan; two sons, John of Linden and Timothy of East Brunswick; two daughters, Heather of Linden and Megan of East Brunswick; a brother, Daniel of the Avenel section of Woodbridge; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

JOSEPH JOHN SWEENEY, Ph.D., 81, of New Brunswick died July 7 at home. He retired as East Brunswick Superintendent of Schools in 1989 after completing 32 years of service to the township. He began his career with East Brunswick public schools in 1957, initially teaching mathematics at East Brunswick High School and later becoming principal at Central School. In 1965, he was selected to be the first principal at Roselle Smith School. He was appointed superintendent of schools in 1974 and held that post until his retirement in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Olga Davidovich Sweeney; a daughter, Ann Sweeney of Brighton, Mass; three sisters, Helen Snyder of Flagler, Fla., Elizabeth Ackley of Morristown and Irene Crews of Orlando, Fla. Memorial contributions maybe be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville NJ 07834.

ALEX SZIGETI, 81, of South River died July 4 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Margaret Bartok Szigeti, died in 1998. Surviving are a son, James of Leland, N.C.; a grandson, James Szigeti Jr. of Milltown; and a great-granddaughter. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

ROBERT JOSEPH KARMEL, 74, of Old Bridge died July 3 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Mary F. Englert Karmel; a son, Robert E. Karmel of East Brunswick; two daughters, Nancy J. Pielli of Jackson and Susan M. Galazin of Old Bridge; a sister, Evelyn Mattfeld of East Marion, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.

MARGUERITE H. VOLK HEATH, 70, of Old Bridge died July 3 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Gerald L. Heath; two sons, Joseph G. of Jackson and Christopher M. of Wilmington, Del.; four daughters, Mary H. Agolia and Donna A. Ventriello, both of Monroe, Colleen M. Besecker of Manalapan and Elizabeth H. Ambrose of Wilmington; a brother, George J. Volk of Newark; three sisters, Maryann Rickerhauser of the Iselin section of Woodbridge, Ethel Caracciolo of Brick and Helen Wall of Edison; and 10 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
